Peace Builders
Peace Builders is a science-based, research-validated violence prevention curriculum and professional development program for grades pre-K to 12. Its essence is a common language - six principles, taught, modeled and practiced. These same principles set behavioral expectations, reduce aggression, and transform the climate and culture of any environment to one which is cooperative, productive, and academically successful. I have been fully trained as a Peace Builder, in the fall of 2011 at Whitman-Hanson Regional High School.

CollegeBoard
New Counselors Fall Counselor Workshop
The CollegeBoard fall counselors workshop for new counselors was a training on college and career readiness pathways, PSATs, SATs, AP testing and courses, financial aid, and other helpful CollegeBoard resources and websites. During this training I was able to learn about different websites I can use with students to help them create goals for themselves, and learn about paths which can help get them there. I also learned the importance of PSAT's, and SAT's and how to help place students in classes which are more challenging and beneficial to them.
